The short version: be cool, don't post anything illegal or hurtful, you own the videos you make, you're responsible for what you post, and you can cancel anytime. The full version is below.
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and GhostPost ("we", "us"). They cover your use of the GhostPost website, app and services (the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. Who can use GhostPost
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for any purchases.
You must also meet the minimum age and other requirements of any platform you post to (for example, TikTok).
3. Your account
You sign in with your Google account. You're responsible for keeping that Google account secure and for everything that happens under your GhostPost account. Tell us right away through support@useghostpost.com if you think someone else has accessed it.
One person, one account. Don't share your account or create multiple accounts to get around a suspension.
4. What the Service does
GhostPost generates short vertical videos for you: it selects a story from a content library for the niche you choose, creates an AI-generated voiceover, adds background footage and captions, and lets you download the result. On eligible plans, and once you connect a TikTok account, it can also post videos to TikTok on a schedule you set.
Videos are generated automatically. They may occasionally contain errors (for example, mistimed captions or mispronounced words). Review every video before you post it, or before enabling automatic posting.
We may change, add or remove features over time. Some features (such as TikTok auto-posting) depend on third parties and may be limited, delayed or unavailable.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service, or any video it produces, to:
- break any law or regulation, or encourage anyone else to;
- harass, bully, threaten, defame or impersonate any person or organization;
- promote hate, violence, self-harm or discrimination;
- create sexual content involving minors, or any sexually explicit content;
- spread scams, spam, or misleading content presented as true news or fact;
- infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
- violate the rules of the platforms you post to, including rules on AI-generated content, spam, and inauthentic behavior;
- reverse-engineer, scrape, overload or interfere with the Service, or resell it without our written permission.
We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
6. You're responsible for what you post
You decide whether, where and when to publish a video, including when you turn on automatic posting. You are solely responsible for the videos you publish and for complying with each platform's terms and community guidelines.
AI disclosure. Voiceovers in GhostPost videos are generated by AI. Where a platform or law requires you to label AI-generated or synthetic content, you are responsible for doing so (for example, by using TikTok's AI-generated content label).
Stories in our library are presented as entertainment. Unless clearly stated otherwise, they may be fictional or adapted and should not be presented as verified true events.
7. Ownership of videos and content
Your videos. As between you and us, you own the videos you generate with the Service ("Output"), to the extent the law allows ownership of AI-assisted content. You may download, post, edit and monetize your Output, subject to these Terms.
What we keep. The Service itself — our software, design, brand, and our story library, background footage and other assets — belongs to us or our licensors. You get a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use the stories, footage and other assets as included in your Output. You may not extract them and use or redistribute them separately (for example, re-selling our story library or background clips).
Others may get similar videos. Because many users share the same story library and footage, other users may generate videos that look similar to yours. You don't get exclusive rights to any story or asset.
License to us. You give us permission to store, process and display your Output and account content only as needed to run the Service for you (for example, to render, store, show and post your videos). We won't use your Output in our marketing without your permission.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties, each with their own terms and privacy policies:
- Google — sign-in.
- Supabase — database, authentication and file storage.
- Stripe — payments and subscription management. We never see or store your full card number.
- OpenAI — AI voice generation and speech-to-text for caption timing.
- TikTok — optional account connection and posting. By connecting TikTok you also agree to TikTok's terms, and you can disconnect at any time.
We aren't responsible for third-party services, and their outages or policy changes may affect the Service.
9. Plans, billing and cancellation
Subscription required. Making videos requires an active paid plan. There is no free plan.
Paid plans. Plans are monthly subscriptions billed in advance through Stripe. Prices are shown on our pricing page and may not include applicable taxes.
Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically each month and your payment method is charged until you cancel.
Cancelling. You can cancel anytime from Settings → Manage billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you keep paid features until then. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
Price changes. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice before a price change affects your subscription, so you can cancel first if you want.
Failed payments. If a payment fails, we may pause access to the Service until it's resolved.
10. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Where reasonable, we'll tell you why.
When your account ends, your right to use the Service stops. Videos you already downloaded remain yours. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, governing law) continue to apply.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We don't guarantee results. We make no promise that any video will get views, followers, engagement or income, or that any platform will accept, distribute or monetize it.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, GhostPost will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, followers or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service — including any action a platform takes against your account.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US$50.
Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection laws that can't be waived.
13. Indemnity
If you use the Service in a way that breaks these Terms or the law, or infringes someone's rights, and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim, to the extent allowed by law.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which GhostPost's operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring claims locally.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we'll notify you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
